“Tourism” Break in Kayseri from Touristic Diyarbakır Express

Mehmet UZEL / KAYSERİ (İGFA) – Touristic Diyarbakır Express, implemented by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, took a touristic break in Kayseri. Visitors had the opportunity to visit Kayseri Castle and the Seljuk Civilization Museum within the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and see the important works of the period closely.

The "Touristic Diyarbakır Express", implemented by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, consists of 1051 bed and 180 dining car with a capacity of 9 people, which will travel on the 1-kilometer Ankara-Diyarbakır track. The express, which sets out to reach Diyarbakır from the historical Ankara Train Station, will make tourism breaks in Malatya, Elazığ, Sivas and Kayseri along the way back, then reach Ankara again and complete the route.

"Touristic Diyarbakır Express", which went on its first trip of the season on April 19, made one of its touristic breaks in Kayseri on the way back.

During the 1051-hour break allocated for Kayseri on the historical and touristic 3-kilometer route of the express, sightseeing passengers had the opportunity to see historical buildings from different civilizations.

Visitors had the opportunity to visit Kayseri Castle and the Seljuk Civilization Museum, which operates in the Gevher Nesibe Medical Madrasa and Hospital, known to be one of the first medical schools within Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, and see the important works of the period closely.

Accompanied by Deputy Governor Ömer Tekeş and Kayseri Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Şükrü Dursun, the visitors stated that they had pleasant moments by adding time travel to their spatial journeys and that they left Kayseri very satisfied.
