Artistic Activities Are Increasing in Tarsus

Artistic events continue at full speed by the Board of Those Adding Values ​​to Tarsus (TADEKA) within the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality.

The group painting exhibition titled "Art Makes Beautiful", prepared specially for World Art Day under the leadership of TADEKA and featuring the works of many artists, was opened at Mehmet Bal Art Gallery. Metropolitan Municipality Urban Participation and Civil Society Relations Branch Manager Başar Akça, TADEKA members, political party representatives and art lovers attended the opening.

The exhibition, many of which were created in the 8-day painting workshop organized by the Metropolitan Municipality at Berdan Guesthouse for March 2, International Women's Day, will remain open until April 30.

Nurettin Gözen: “I recommend making art to everyone”

In his speech at the opening, painter Nurettin Gözen, who curated the exhibition, stated that many of the works were made in workshops held specifically for March 8, International Women's Day, and said, “Well done to everyone. From now on, we will continue and do better things. Art heals, art gives morale, art beautifies people. "I recommend doing art to everyone," he said.

Şerife Hasoğlu Dokucu: “We will fully support all the work”

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Women and Family Services Department Head Şerife Hasoğlu Dokucu noted that Mersin will go much further with the work done and said, “It is a great opportunity for us to do art works together under this roof. Especially since we are in the Women and Family Services Department, we will support all women's work under the umbrella of TADEKA. "We are coming up with new projects on the basis of associations," he said.

Seda Yıkılmazpehlivan: “We are proud to exhibit”

Seda Yıkılmazpehlivan, one of the artists, stated that she also attended the painting camp organized by the Metropolitan Municipality at Berdan Guest House, specially for March 8, International Women's Day, and said, “More than 57 paintings were produced in the workshop attended by 75 painters. Two of them belong to me. We both took part in an enjoyable organization and tried to produce meaningful pictures for a meaningful day. We had so much fun. We were happy to see this value. “We are proud to exhibit it today,” she said.
