75 Terrorists Neutralized in the Last Two Weeks!

A Weekly Press Information Meeting was held on current issues, especially the activities of the Ministry of National Defense.

The following information was shared at the meeting held by Press and Public Relations Advisor Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk:

At the meeting, it was noted that our Turkish Armed Forces are continuing their fight against all kinds of threats and dangers, with increasing effect and intense pressure, and that 75 terrorists have been neutralized in the last two weeks, including the north of Iraq and Syria, and thus, from January 1, 2024 to today. It was recorded that the number of terrorists neutralized was 331, 417 in northern Iraq and 748 in northern Syria.

THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES AT THE BORDERS

It was stated that 11 people, including 373 members of a terrorist organization, who tried to cross illegally in the last two weeks at the borders, which are protected by the Republic's most intense measures and the established multi-layered security system, were caught, and 4 thousand 784 people were prevented before they could cross the border.

The Ministry stated that since January 1, the number of people caught trying to cross the border illegally has increased to 2 thousand 485, the number of people prevented from crossing the border has increased to 46 thousand 305, and 1 more PKK terrorist who escaped from sheltering areas in the north of Iraq has been killed. He also noted that he surrendered to our Border Patrol Station in Habur in April and that approximately 4 kilograms of drugs and 45 guns were seized during the operations carried out in the last two weeks.
