Opel Corsa Electric was awarded the "Electric Vehicle of the Year 2024" award at the event hosted by the Commercial Drivers Association in the Netherlands.
Opel's popular model in the electric B-HB segment, Corsa Electric, which has made a name for itself with many prestigious awards, was selected as the "Electric Vehicle of the Year 2024" in the 'Middle Segment' vehicle category by the Dutch Commercial Drivers Association.
Opel Corsa added a new one to its many awards with the "Electric Vehicle of the Year 2024" award, which it received in the Netherlands. Opel Corsa won many prestigious awards even in 2023 alone. Last year, more than 14 Auto Motor und Sport readers voted Corsa first in the "Best New Design of 500" award and was evaluated as the vehicle with the best design in its segment. The Corsa also achieved very impressive results in the UK. It won the titles of “Best Small Vehicle of the Year” (The Sun), “Best Fleet Super Mini” (Fleet World) and “Best Second-Hand Small Vehicle” (Carbuyer) in the region.
On the other hand, according to official data published by the German Federal Motor Vehicle Agency (KBA), Corsa became the best-selling vehicle in the B segment in Germany for the third consecutive time in 2023. Approximately 54 thousand new vehicles registered to traffic enabled Opel Corsa to be the first in its segment. This represents an increase of approximately 2022 percent compared to 7 and also shows that Corsa sales have reached their highest level since 2016. One in every four newly registered Corsas is a 100 percent electric Opel Corsa Electric.
In addition, in the United Kingdom, Vauxhall Corsa continues to be popular as the best-selling B-HB for three consecutive years, according to the 2023 market results published by the Society of British Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Reaching a sales figure of 40 thousand 816 units, Corsa not only became the most popular model of the B-HB class in 2023, but also became one of the three best-selling vehicles in the country. In this market, Corsa reached 55,5 percent (14 thousand 568 vehicles) more sales than the second best-selling model in the B-HB segment.
