'Sports Village' Project for European Sports City Kayseri

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç announced that they will implement the Sports Village project, which is one of the projects that will suit Kayseri, which was awarded the title of European Sports City in 2024 by the Federation of European Sports Capitals and Cities (ACES Europe).

In line with the special importance given by Mayor Büyükkılıç to young people, the Metropolitan Municipality continues its services and projects to make Kayseri a sports city.

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç reminded that they have done a lot of work to make Kayseri the center of sports, tourism, culture, gastronomy, education and health.

Stating that sports projects will continue in the new 5 years, Mayor Büyükkılıç said in his statement on the subject: “We have a Sports Village project. "We will create a Sports Village that includes all kinds of activities in an area of ​​90 thousand square meters," he said.

Büyükkılıç stated that the Sports Village, which will be established on an area of ​​90 thousand square meters, will suit the European Sports City Kayseri very well and said, “The Sports Village includes an indoor sports hall, gymnastics hall, indoor tennis court, semi-Olympic swimming pool, mini football, beach volleyball, tennis courts, "There will be basketball and volleyball courts, skateboard and bicycle tracks, children's playgrounds and social areas," he said.

Emphasizing that sports fans of all ages will do sports in the area on the tram route, Mayor Büyükkılıç noted that regular events will be organized by the Metropolitan Municipality in the Sports Village.

Büyükkılıç added that they see 16 districts as well as the center as a part of the sports city, and that they always support amateur and professional sports and athletes.
