Final Point for Hatay from YSK!

Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Öntürk made a statement on his social media accounts upon the decision of the Supreme Election Board (YSK) to reject the objection regarding the HBB election results of the 31 March Local Government General Elections.

Mayor Mehmet Öntürk stated that he put an end to the usurpation of Hatay's will by rejecting the objections made on the grounds of complete lawlessness regarding the Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral elections with the decision announced by the YSK, and said in his post: "As our esteemed President emphasized, our only agenda is the rapid recovery of Hatay."

In the video shared by President Öntürk along with his statement, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made the following statements:

“The attempt to usurp Hatay's will continued until the last minute. Every method was tried, including putting the YSK under pressure, and many mind-boggling lies were told, such as making the dead vote. Even though the CHP's indigestion of national will is obvious, the YSK has put an end to these delusions. We will visit our city in the coming period and express our gratitude to our brothers and sisters from Hatay. In addition, we will work harder than ever to be worthy of other cities that trust us. "Especially the rapid recovery of our earthquake-affected cities will continue to be at the top of our agenda."

As you may remember, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel applied to the YSK separately for the Hatay Metropolitan Municipality and Iskenderun District Municipality elections on the grounds of "total illegality". CHP claimed that 3 thousand 361 dead voters were allowed to vote in the election, which resulted in a difference of 3 thousand 389.
