Bayraktar KALKAN DİHA Dominates the Sky!

Test activities of Bayraktar KALKAN DİHA, developed by Baykar, the architect of national and unique unmanned aerial vehicles, continue successfully.

Bayraktar KALKAN DİHA (Vertical Landing and Take-Off Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) successfully completed the system identification tests carried out on its 30th flight.

30. FLIGHT TEST

Bayraktar KALKAN DİHA, developed nationally and uniquely by Baykar, successfully completed its 30th flight test. System identification tests were successfully carried out during the flight at Baykar Flight Training and Test Center in Keşan district of Edirne. Bayraktar KALKAN DİHA, which can carry out activities for reconnaissance and intelligence missions, climbed to an altitude of 14.500 feet within the scope of the test and left behind a successful flight time of 70 hours.

BAYKAR FLYED WITH BG-160 CAMERA

Bayraktar KALKAN DİHA, which can perform automatic route tracking, target tracking, circling and returning home modes, performed its flight test with the Baykar BG-160 camera, which was completely nationally and indigenously developed by Baykar. Bayraktar KALKAN DİHA can also take high-resolution images at night, thanks to the Baykar BG-160 Electro-Optical System, which has thermal imaging capability. The National DİHA can successfully perform reconnaissance, surveillance and target detection missions day and night.

NO NEED FOR A RUNWAY

Bayraktar KALKAN DİHA, powered by 4 electric motors and 1 low-consumption gasoline engine, takes off vertically with its electric motors and then goes into cruise flight mode, cruising with only its gasoline engine. Bayraktar KALKAN DİHA, which can reach an altitude of over 14.500 feet with these engines, can perform mission flights for more than 7 hours. Capable of vertical take-off and landing, the national DİHA can easily carry out mission flights in base areas and floating platforms without the need for a runway.

EXPORT CHAMPION

Baykar, which has carried out all its projects with its own resources since the beginning, has obtained 2003% of all its income from exports since the beginning of the UAV R&D process in 83. According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) in 2021 and 2022, it became the export leader of the defense and aerospace industry. Baykar, which was announced as the export champion of the sector in 2023 by the Presidency of Defense Industries, achieved exports of 1.8 billion dollars last year. Obtaining more than 90% of its revenues from exports in recent years, Baykar alone made 2023/3 of the exports in the defense and aerospace sector in 1. Export agreements have been signed with 2 countries, 33 countries for the Bayraktar TB9 SİHA, and 34 countries for the Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA so far.
