Rescue Works Continue in Antalya Cable Car Accident

Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya stated that 19 people in 137 cabins trapped in the cable car in Antalya were successfully evacuated, and the evacuation of 5 people in 29 cabins continued.

Minister Yerlikaya noted that the rescue efforts for the citizens trapped in the cable car continue uninterruptedly and stated that 19 people in 137 trapped cabins were successfully evacuated, and 5 people in 29 cabins continued to be evacuated.

Emphasizing that 4 helicopters belonging to the Coast Guard Command and 3 helicopters belonging to the Gendarmerie General Command actively served in the rescue efforts, Yerlikaya continued his statement as follows:

"A total of AFAD, Gendarmerie General Command, Turkish Police Organization, Coast Guard Command, UMKE, NGOs and fire brigades came to the region; “607 search and rescue personnel, 8 helicopters, 1 military cargo plane, 113 vehicles, 6 ambulances and drones have been assigned.”
