Stating that they will implement a project that will contribute to Kayseri becoming a sports city, Mayor Palancıoğlu said, “In this new era in Melikgazi, we say youth first. As a municipality that touches people's lives, contributes to raising healthy and successful generations, and continues to support sports fields, we are preparing projects. Our young people are valuable to us. We continue to take part in all the projects that will make them happy and socialize. As Melikgazi Municipality, we have supported our amateur athletes and clubs in the past 5 years. Our sports clubs take care of our young people, perhaps protecting them from some bad habits or some wrong paths they may stray from at a young age. In this context, we want to continue our support with a qualified facility. With our Indoor Sports Center, our sports clubs will not need to look for a place. We will ensure that our athletes do sports in a good physical environment. These will not be places used by our individuals, but by our clubs such as basketball clubs and volleyball clubs. There will be defense sports as well as other sports. Different sports branches add color to our city. It will also be a common facility where many schools will provide sports training. When we implement this project, the way for clubs will be opened and many different sports events will be held here. We will do whatever we can to ensure that our clubs do their sports under the best conditions. In this context, we will continue to support sports and athletes. As long as our young people do sports, we will always support them.” said.
