Metropolitan Council convened in Kayseri

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality April Assembly Meeting, which was the first meeting after the 31 March local elections, was held by Dr. It was held under the chairmanship of Memduh Büyükkılıç. At the meeting, the 1st and 2nd Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Council, the Assembly Council Clerk, the council and commission members were elected.

While 16 council members of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality from 70 districts have made important decisions for 5 years, the Metropolitan Municipality held its first meeting with the new council members after the 31 March local elections.

Later, the council meeting held in the Metropolitan Municipality Assembly Hall started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem.

While the 15 agenda items were discussed and decided by the council members, Mayor Büyükkılıç wished that the new term in the parliament would be beneficial and auspicious.

In the Assembly, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Council 1st and 2nd Deputy Mayor, two original and two substitute Assembly Council Clerks, 5 council members, Planning and Public Works Commission, Planning and Budget Commission, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Commission, Transportation Commission, Member selection was carried out by determining the Environment and Health Commission and the number of members.

In addition, 3 main members, 2 substitute members and 1 member from outside the council were elected from the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality council for the Historical Cities Union.

In this regard, the names of Ahmet Bostancı were suggested as the first deputy chairman of the parliament and İbrahim Carlak as the second deputy chairman. Serdar Kavafoğlu, Meral Koşar were proposed as full members, and Ali Kabak and Sabri Sosun were proposed as substitute members for the membership of the Assembly Council Clerk. Bekir Yıldız, Emine Timuçin, Savaş Gökçe, Sami Yağmur and Osman Yeniay were recommended for council membership.

Kemalettin Cengiz Tekinsoy, İsmail Ünalamış, Cengiz Ekici, Mustafa Erkek and Özgür Özer were proposed to the Planning and Public Works Commission, and Ahmet Tural, Menderes Yıldırım, Kenan Akar, Orhan Say, Senem Ağca were proposed to the Planning and Budget Commission.

Meral Koşar, Şerife Parlak, Burhanettin Polat, Ali Kabak, Ahmet Tektaş, Ahmet Bircan and Mehmet Olma to the Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Commission and Mustafa Gulduoğlu, Ahmet Mithat Karaçavuş, Emre Güneş, Mustafa Durukan, Mustafa Çalıksoy to the Transportation Commission. , Davut Umsu and Ramazan Demirezen were suggested. Sami Üstündağ, Serdar Kavafoğlu, Ahmet Erciyes, Selçuk Güntay, Mustafa Dursun, Mehmet Kuşçu and Şahin Ülker were recommended to the Environment and Health Commission by the council members.

Gökhan Ülke, Yusuf Ceran, Hulusi Çavdar, Mustafa Koşuş, Senem Ağca, Mehmet Berkay Kahveci, Mehmet Işık were proposed to the Law Commission.

Finally, Memduh Büyükkılıç is a natural member of the Historical Cities Union, and the second member is Prof. Dr. Metin Sözen, Ömer Gökçe, Orhan Say and Ramazan Aylanç were offered as main names, and Sami Üstündağ and Emre Güneş were offered as substitute names.

In a secret ballot, council members decided on the proposed names.

While the council members were discussing the 2023 Activity Report of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, the council members were informed about the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Audit Commission Report prepared on the Audit of Accounts, Work and Transactions for the 2023 Fiscal Year.

While the Activity Report was accepted by the council members, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said, “Everyone gave advice in good faith. Thank God, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality is the city that allocates the highest share to investment among the 30 metropolitan cities. "It is a city that offers the comfort of metropolitan cities and does not cause any hassles," he said.

Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that they respect the will of the nation and said, “We are the chosen people, we respect the will of the people of Kayseri or Turkey. Stating that investments in rural areas will continue, Büyükkılıç said, “There has never been another period in which a share of investment has been allocated to rural areas as much as this period. I do not mean to denigrate the past, it was done under the conditions of that day, but we have done more under today's conditions. Our regions such as Tomarza and Kapuzbaşı waterfall road were introduced to hot asphalt during this period. "I would like to especially thank my team," he said.

Büyükkılıç gave important information about many issues in the context of Kartal Junction, hobby garden, Beydeğirmeni, urban bread, resilient cities, and wished the new council members and mayors good luck, and emphasized that the services will continue within the culture of harmony.

While Kocasinan Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar thanked Mayor Büyükkılıç and his team for the work done, MHP Group Deputy Chairman Halit Demir stated that it is a Metropolitan City that can reach every corner of the rural region and expressed his gratitude to those who contributed, especially Mayor Büyükkılıç.

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Özgür Özer wished for a beneficial and auspicious new term, stated that the wind power plant is a very important and special project in the field of transportation, and that he supports a good job, and wished good luck to all council members.

After the council meeting, where the opinions of the council members regarding the agenda items were received, Mayor Büyükkılıç wished that the decisions taken in the council would be beneficial.
