Izmit Municipality Continues Disinfestation Works for Public Health 

Izmit Municipality continues its disinfection efforts within the scope of combating larvae. Izmit Municipality continues its disinfection activities, carried out meticulously every year, in order to protect public health and prevent the formation of mosquitoes, flies and pests for a comfortable summer period. Veterinary Affairs Directorate teams carry out disinfection works in areas where larvae can nest, such as stagnant water puddles, streams, canals, manholes and drains, within the determined program.

Making a statement on the subject, Izmit Municipality Veterinary Affairs Director Dr. Mehmet Çetinkaya said, “As the Veterinary Affairs Directorate, as we enter the summer season, our larvicide studies continue at full speed in the wetlands, manholes, streams and puddles in our area for the health and comfort of our people. "All our pesticide efforts will continue throughout the summer season to ensure the health of our people and a comfortable summer," he said.
