Hubble Telescope Paused Scientific Studies

The Hubble Telescope of the US National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) suspended its scientific activities due to a gyroscope problem.

NASA stated that the agency is working to restart the scientific operations of the Hubble Space Telescope after it entered safe mode due to an ongoing gyroscope problem on April 23.

The telescope automatically entered safe mode when it received erroneous readings from one of its three gyroscopes, according to a statement from NASA. This particular gyroscope caused Hubble to enter safe mode in November after it returned similar erroneous readings. The team is currently working to identify potential solutions.
