Housing Sales in Ankara Dropped by 30 Percent!

Housing sales continue to decline in Ankara.

In Ankara, where housing sales dropped by an average of 30 percent, 12 thousand 230 houses were sold in the same month last year.

Stating that housing prices and sales have decreased since September 2023, Ankara-based real estate company Gayrimenkul PR noted that the tight monetary policies implemented by the government, the roadblocks in front of loans and the very attractive return on TL deposits have removed housing from being an investment instrument and prices have been reduced.

“Since artificial and fake advertisements still continue, sellers and buyers have the wrong opinion by looking at the advertisements. But; "There is a 30 percent difference between the advertised prices and the sold prices," the sector report said, adding, "The real step that will reduce housing sales and prices will be the 'real estate investment funds' that we will hear frequently in the financial market soon." In the coming period, houses that are priced correctly and are marketed at a high level outside of classified ad sites will be able to be sold. "Our recommendation to sellers and buyers is to get support from experts on the right price before buying or selling real estate. We see endless benefits in the long term."
