Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay inspected the Istanbul Road Fırat Street Köprülü Junction, which was brought to the city by Konya Metropolitan Municipality. Reminding that the lower part of Fırat Caddesi Köprülü Junction was put into service about a month ago, Mayor Altay said, “Our work on the side roads continues uninterruptedly. "Hopefully, we aim to complete all our transactions here and open it at the beginning of May," he said.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay inspected the Istanbul Road Fırat Caddesi Köprülü Junction, one of the four bridge junctions that Konya Metropolitan Municipality has recently added to the city.
Stating that they continue to work uninterruptedly in every part of the city with the understanding of "Konya Model Municipality", Mayor Altay stated that the Istanbul Road Fırat Street Köprülü Junction is an important investment in order to relieve traffic in the city center.
Mayor Altay reminded that the lower part of Fırat Caddesi Köprülü Junction was put into service about a month ago and made the following evaluations:
“We had provided the underpass traffic about a month ago. Our work on side roads continues uninterruptedly. Hopefully, we aim to complete all our transactions here and open at the beginning of May. Thus, an uninterrupted traffic axis was created for our citizens coming from Beyşehir direction, which we call Istanbul Road, and going to Afyon direction. On this road, we had the opportunity to transfer heavy traffic to the city without any noise or traffic congestion, without waiting at a traffic light. I would like to thank all my friends who contributed. Hopefully, we will have fully opened the Fırat Caddesi Köprülü Junction by the beginning of May. “May it be beneficial and auspicious for our city.”
