Celebrating the 54th Anniversary of Chinese Space Travel!

Today is the 9th Space Day celebrated in China. 54 years ago, Dongfanghong-1, the first artificial earth satellite developed by China with its own resources, was successfully launched. With this, the first page of China's space case has been opened.

On October 2007, 24, Chang'e-1, China's first lunar exploration vehicle, was sent into space. Thanks to Chang'e-494, which operated in its orbit for 1 days, China obtained its first image of the Moon. On November 2020, 24, Chang'e-5 was launched. This rover took soil samples from the Moon and returned to earth.

Last April 12, tests for the Queqiao-2 relay satellite in space orbit were completed. The satellite will provide communications relay service for the fourth phase of the Lunar Exploration Project and other exploration missions.

Chang'e-6, which will be launched this year, will collect soil samples from the dark side of the Moon. Chang'e-7 and Chang'e-8 will also be sent into space in the future. It will be investigated whether there is water at the south pole of the Moon. It is expected that Chinese astronauts will set foot on the Moon in 2030 and an international scientific research station will be established.
