Çayırova Municipality, which won the championship in both EBBL and TB2L in the last two years and competed in the Turkish Basketball League this year with two trophies in two years, was entitled to play in the Play-Offs in its first season in TBL. After the last matches played last weekend, the regular season in the Turkish Basketball League has been completed. Çayırova Municipality, which finished the regular season in seventh place with 34 wins and 16 losses after a 18-week marathon, was among the teams that qualified for the Play-Offs for the Super League in the Turkish Basketball League, where it competed for the first time this year.
The opponent of our representative Çayırova Municipality in the Turkish Basketball League Play-Offs, which will start on Friday, April 26th and where 8 teams will compete fiercely to be promoted to the Super League, was the Gaziantep Basketball team, which finished the regular season in fourth place. The first match between Çayırova Municipality and Gaziantep Basketball will be played in Gaziantep on Saturday, April 27 at 16.00, in which the team with two wins in the three-game series will advance to the next round. The second match will be played on Wednesday, May 1st at 16.00 in Çayırova. If necessary, the third match will be played again hosted by Gaziantep Basketball.
BOTH TEAMS BEAT EACH OTHER
Gaziantep Basketball won the first match between the two teams in the regular season with a score of 72-54. In the second half of the season, our representative Çayırova Municipality managed to win the match played in Çayırova with a score of 82-75. If Çayırova Municipality beats its rival Gaziantep Basketball in the first round of Play-Off, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality and Gölbaşı Municipality will compete in the Play-Off semi-final with the winner of the TED Ankara College match.
