Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu underlined that they prevented the sale of tickets at exorbitant prices to many citizens, thanks to the strict measures they took as the ministry before the Eid al-Fitr.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that there was a great increase in intercity bus travel during the holidays and announced that 5 thousand 2024 bus trips have been carried out since Friday, April 80, 195, and 2 million 759 thousand 818 passengers have been carried in these trips.

Minister Uraloğlu noted that they accelerated the inspections during this period in order to prevent citizens from suffering, and said, “During this period, 4 thousand 810 buses were inspected across the country. "An administrative fine of 5 million 321 thousand 223 liras was imposed on bus operators who sold exorbitant tickets and made irregularities during our inspections," he said.

Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that within the scope of the inspections, an Administrative Fine of 5 million 321 thousand 223 liras was imposed on bus operators who applied fare tariffs in violation of the Road Transport Law and sold exorbitantly priced tickets, and said: An administrative fine of 1 million 269 thousand liras was imposed on bus operators due to other irregularities we reported. Our teams are doing their job to ensure that our citizens can travel comfortably during this busy period. "First of all, our bus inspections in this direction continue effectively throughout the country in order to prevent the sale of tickets at exorbitant prices and to ensure order in passenger transportation." he said.
