5 People Arrested in Cable Car Accident in Antalya

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that 14 of the 5 suspects were arrested within the scope of the investigation into the cable car accident in Antalya, a judicial control order was issued for 8 suspects and one person was released.

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that a preliminary report was prepared within the scope of the judicial investigation initiated by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident in which 1 person died and 17 people were injured as a result of the cable car pole breaking and one of the cabins falling in Antalya.

Minister Tunç stated that in the preliminary report prepared by the expert expert panel within the scope of the investigation, the statements and statements of the complainants and the defenses of the suspects were evaluated together, and that 14 of the 5 suspects who were taken into custody, including the company operating the cable car line and the officials and employees of the company responsible for the maintenance and repair of the cable car line, were arrested. He shared that a judicial control order was given for 8 suspects and one person was released, and that the judicial investigation is continuing.
