April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day was Celebrated in Gölcük

KOCAELI (IGFA) – April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at the ceremony held in Gölcük. Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Atatürk Monument held on the occasion of the 23th anniversary of April 104 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, which was the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly; Gölcük Mayor Ali Yıldırım Sezer, District Director of National Education Caferi Tayyar Mert, 23 April Gölcük Mayor Arhan Yazıcıoğlu, school principals, teachers, students, district heads of political parties and citizens attended.

ATATURK'S MONUMENT WAS presented

The ceremony, which started with a moment of silence, the reading of the National Anthem and the presentation of a wreath, ended after speeches explaining the meaning and importance of the day. As part of the celebrations, a program was later held at Martyr Bülent Albayrak Primary School.

HOLIDAY ENTHUSIASM IN THE SCHOOL GARDEN

The celebrations featured colorful scenes with folk dance performances prepared by primary school students; Gölcük District Governor Müfit Gültekin, Gölcük Mayor Ali Yıldırım Sezer, Gölcük Chief Public Prosecutor Tayfun Akbaş, District National Education Director Caferi Tayyar Mert, teachers, students and parents attended.

HIGHER STUDENTS WERE AWARDED

The enthusiastic crowd that filled the schoolyard supported the students' beautiful performances with applause. Following the beautiful folk dance performances and shows, the students who were successful in the painting, poetry and composition competitions organized throughout the district within the scope of the week of April 23 were rewarded.
