Bolu's Divided Road Length Increased to 303 Kilometers

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that they invested 54 billion lira for transportation and communication infrastructure in Bolu and that they continue 7,6 highway projects worth 14 billion lira and said, “We increased the length of Bolu's divided road from 173 kilometers to 303 kilometers. Bolu's most important project, Bolu Mountain Tunnel, has now reached 40-50 thousand vehicle traffic per day. Now it is time to project new alternative roads between Ankara and Istanbul. We also started project work on Bolu State Highway. "We will ease the city crossing and E14 traffic by implementing the project in the 5-kilometer section and especially at Gölyüzü Junction," he said. Uraloğlu. He gave the good news that they will start many projects together with the local government as of April 1.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu inspected Gölyüzü Junction in Bolu, where he came to make a series of contacts. In his statement here, Uraloğlu explained that, as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, they have invested 2002 billion liras in Bolu's transportation and communication infrastructure since 54. Stating that they increased the length of the divided road from 173 kilometers to 303 kilometers and the length of the bituminous hot coating road from 192 kilometers to 432 kilometers, Uraloğlu said, “With our work, Bolu has been divided into Sakarya, Düzce, Kocaeli, Istanbul, Zonguldak, Ankara and Eskişehir. We connected it with roads. "In addition, we have improved nearly 200 kilometers of single road," he said.

“Bolu Mountain Tunnel Extended by 90 Meters”

Uraloğlu reminded that the Bolu Mountain Tunnel project, which is one of the most important projects for Bolu and turned into a "Snake Story" in previous periods, was put into service in 2007 during the Prime Ministry of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Underlining that the Bolu Mountain Tunnel is still of great importance, Uraloğlu said, “It currently carries 40-50 thousand traffic per day. We have now come to a period where we are really talking about alternative transportation between Ankara and Istanbul. We also previously carried out studies on the landslide that occurred at the exit of Bolu Mountain. "We extended the tunnel portal by 90 meters as steel construction," he said. Currently in Bolu; Emphasizing that they are continuing 7,6 highway projects with a project cost of 14 billion, Uraloğlu stated that they also made important inspections on the Bolu State Highway today. Uraloğlu stated that the current state road in Bolu reaches an average daily traffic of 35 thousand vehicles and continued his words as follows:

Project Planning Completed in 14 Kilometer Section

“These numbers we are talking about now are a high capacity. The section we examined is used by both transit and urban traffic. We are talking about the approximately 14-kilometer section between the industrial and university intersections. There are 14 intersections in this 12-kilometer section, 8 of which are signalized intersections. The 14-kilometer section of these makes it really difficult to pass. We have currently identified 4 intersections that need urgent correction. We look holistically. We started project work on the 14-kilometer section. We will start construction from the most urgent section. The most urgent appears to be Gölyüzü Junction at the moment. "By completing this project quickly within a program, we will relieve the Bolu city traffic and the E5 highway."

“We Will Realize All the Projects We Plan Together”

Minister Uraloğlu stated that Bolu continues to develop and change and said, "Bolu's needs are also changing and developing." Explaining that there are two crossings from the highway to Bolu and that they are West and East crossings, Uraloğlu said that according to their consultations with local government levels and AK Party Bolu Mayor candidate Muhammed Emin Demirkol, it became clear that an alternative crossing should be built within the city of Bolu. Uraloğlu said, “We have now started the project work on an alternative entry and exit point that will serve industrial facilities developing from a more central location. In parallel with this, we are making a plan to channel the heavy stones passing through the center of Bolu, around a thousand daily, from a truck park. "Hopefully, starting from April 1, we will realize all the projects we planned for the bright future of Bolu with our brother Muhammed Emin Demirkol," he said.
