Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality welcomed Ramadan, the sultan of 11 months, in a colorful and exciting atmosphere. The Metropolitan Municipality, which stands side by side with citizens and holds enjoyable meetings every Ramadan, established its platform in front of AKM again. In the traditional Book Street opened here, the peace of the holy month began to be experienced, as it has been for years.
Colorful images appeared on the street where the Department of Culture and Arts launched the Ramadan Calendar. In the program held on the first day of the holy month, the meddah show and the Karagöz-Hacivat shadow play met with the children. Hundreds of children visiting the street had a fun-filled night.
COLORFUL EVENTS DURING RAMADAN
Many events, from Sufi music to whirling dervish shows, concerts to competitions, from Karagöz Hacivat to Quran Recitation, will be held free of charge for Sakarya residents during Ramadan on Kitap Street. This street appeals to all art, entertainment and Sufism-friendly citizens from 7 to 70.

Making delicate touches to experience the spirit of Ramadan and achieve its pleasure, the Metropolitan Municipality keeps the climate of unity and solidarity alive in this street. The programs start just before iftar and continue until midnight.
