Kayseri is a Strategic City

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç hosted Turkey's first National Astronaut in space, Alper Gezeravcı, and the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and his accompanying delegation, who came to the city to bring young people together, in his office.

Mayor Büyükkılıç welcomed Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır with flowers at the door. During the visit at the presidential office, Mayor Büyükkılıç thanked Minister of Industry and Technology Kacır for both his visit and his warm and sincere interest in Kayseri.

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. emphasized that he was proud to see Minister Kacır in Kayseri. Memduh Büyükkılıç said, “Welcome and honor our Kayseri in these beautiful days of Ramadan. "Kayseri has been known as the center of trade and industry since the past," he said.

Mayor Büyükkılıç expressed his satisfaction with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's complimentary words at the rally in Kayseri and said, “Yesterday's compliments of our esteemed President also made us proud, he has always been a pioneer. It has taken its place as a strategic city. An aircraft factory was built in this city in 1926, and the first electricity-generating project in Kayseri was implemented with the concession given by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic. The main repair, air supply, Sumer and Kayseri, which includes these beauties, formed the basis of this process. "Kayseri is a city that stands out with its creative, innovative approach and, most importantly, its philanthropy that cares about people," he said.

Minister Kacır thanked Mayor Büyükkılıç for his invitation to Kayseri and said that he did not come to Kayseri alone. Kacır said, “We brought Alper Gezeravcı, who carried out Turkey's first manned space science mission, to Kayseri on the 42nd day of his return to Earth, and we actually held the event at Erciyes University together. "The young people of Kayseri welcomed us with tremendous enthusiasm and excitement," he said. Emphasizing that Mayor Büyükkılıç has provided very important services to Kayseri, Minister Kacır said, “You have provided very important services to Kayseri. Hopefully, in the coming period, we have full faith that you will undertake many beautiful projects for the development of Kayseri and for Turkey to shine in the century.” He pointed out that they are trying to contribute and that these contributions will continue from now on.

Stating that Kayseri has 4 OIZs and an enormous infrastructure, Kacır added that preparations are being carried out together. Expressing his excitement when he saw the Teknofest teams of the universities, Minister Kacır said, “I see that the spirit of the national technology move has penetrated into the soul of Kayseri. Our hope is that Kayseri will continue on its way with the investment, employment, production, invention and export process, while growing, developing and expanding its industrial infrastructure. "I hope and believe that Kayseri will be one of the leading cities," he said. Minister Kacır stated that Aspilsan is making preparations for the production of aircraft again in Kayseri and investments in the production of new technology batteries.

After the visit, Mayor Büyükkılıç sat in the driver's seat of the domestic and national car Togg and attended the 'Consultation Meeting with Industrialists' together with the Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır.
