Joint Maritime Security Exercise from China, Iran and Russia

The "Security Belt-2024" exercise jointly organized by China, Iran and Russia started yesterday. Chinese ships reached the waters near the Iranian city of Chabahar. Ships belonging to the Iranian and Russian navies also gathered in the region.

The exercise, whose theme is "Creating Peace and Security Together", is planned to be held between 11-15 March near the Gulf of Oman. The exercise aims to maintain regional maritime security.

The joint exercise will focus on issues such as anti-piracy and search and rescue.
