Exporters' New Target is Scandinavia

Turkey's foreign trade with the Scandinavian countries has grown rapidly in recent years. According to TÜİK data, Turkey's foreign trade volume with Scandinavian countries increased by 5 percent in the last 35 years, reaching 10,7 billion dollars last year. The approval of Sweden's NATO membership led to the expectation of a further increase in the volume of commercial relations with this country. While Turkish exporters and entrepreneurs are turning to new pursuits in Scandinavia, this interest also increases logistics operations.

Murat Kaya, Turkey Country Manager of InterEast Logistics, one of the global logistics companies based in Sweden, stated that they offer ultra-express delivery service on the Turkey-Scandinavia line, thanks to the widespread logistics network they have established in Romania, Poland and Sweden.

REDUCED THE TRANSPORTATION TIME FROM 12 DAYS TO 5 DAYS

Drawing attention to the large storage facilities of 35 thousand square meters and strong logistics infrastructures in Romania and Poland on the northern route, Kaya said, “We deliver the truck departing from Turkey to Sweden in 5 days, thanks to the infrastructure we have created. We are the first and only company to do this. "There was no such systematic transportation before, but now we have established regular services with increasing interest." said. Pointing out that they have more than 700 trucks in their fleet and equipment infrastructure suitable for loads from almost every sector, Kaya said that they have set ambitious targets to increase their market share in transportation between Turkey and Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
