Bayraktar TB3 UCAV, developed nationally and uniquely by Baykar, has successfully completed its first flight test with the domestic electro-optical system ASELFLIR-500, which is the best in its class in the world.
The testing process of the Bayraktar TB3 Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, developed nationally and uniquely by Baykar, continues successfully. The National UCAV successfully completed its 500th flight test, in which it flew for 6 hours with the ASELFLIR-25 electro-optical system, which is the best in its class in the world.
NATIONAL SIHA NATIONAL CAMERA
Bayraktar TB3 SİHA flew with ASELFLIR-500, developed nationally by Aselsan, for the first time in the Medium Altitude System Identification and Performance Test held at AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdağ's Çorlu district. Within the scope of the test, the integration of the ASELFLIR-500 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting System, which has the highest performance compared to its equivalents in the world, was successfully carried out. Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which made a training flight during the test, was also followed by ASELFLIR-500.
BAYRAKTAR TB3 PT-2 IN THE SKY
PT-3, the second prototype of the Bayraktar TB2 Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, built at AKINCI Flight Training and Testing Center in Tekirdağ's Çorlu district, successfully completed its first flight test last week and met with the sky.
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE TESTS
Bayraktar TB3 SİHA has successfully completed 25 flight tests to date. Bayraktar TB196, which flew a total of 3 hours in test flights, successfully passed the High Altitude System Performance Tests by flying above 30.000 feet altitude many times. Bayraktar TB3 SİHA, which successfully completed the tests where system and endurance performance was measured, is powered by the PD-170 engine developed locally by TEI.
FIRST FLIGHT FROM TCG ANATOLIA IN 2024
Bayraktar TB3 UCAV will be the first armed unmanned aerial vehicle in the world with the ability to take off and land from short-runway ships such as TCG Anadolu with its foldable wing structure. Baykar Chairman of the Board and Technology Leader Selçuk Bayraktar announced that they planned to start tests for Bayraktar TB3 on the TCG Anadolu ship in 2024. The capabilities that Bayraktar TB3 will have will be an important innovation for unmanned aerial vehicles in this class. The national SİHA will also have beyond-line-of-sight communication capability, so it can be controlled from very long distances. Thus, it will have a multiplier effect on Turkey's deterrent power by performing reconnaissance-surveillance, intelligence and attack missions against overseas targets with the smart munitions it carries.
