STM took responsibility for system procurement and platform integration in the Half-Life Modernization activities of the Gür Class Submarines in the inventory of the Turkish Naval Forces. It is of critical importance in Gür Class Submarines; Navigation, machinery and communication systems will be modernized with national and modern facilities, and the life of the submarines will be extended.

The Contract Amendment, which added Gür Class Submarine Half-Life Modernization activities to the Preveze Class Submarine Half-Life Modernization Project in the Turkish Navy's inventory, was signed between STM-ASELSAN-ASFAT-HAVELSAN Joint Venture (İO) and SSB on January 17, 2024.
In the first phase of the contract, the Partnership aims to modernize some critical navigation, machinery and communication systems of the Gür Class Submarines. The project, in which STM assumes the responsibility of system supply and platform integration, is planned to be completed in 6 years.

National Combat Management System Platform Integration Task for Submarines is at STM
In addition to the supply and integration processes outlined with the Preveza-YÖM project, the platform integration activities of the National Production Integrated Combat Management System (MÜREN) developed by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM and the ADVENT MÜREN Combat Management Systems to the PREVEZE and GÜR Class Submarines are also carried out under the responsibility of STM. In the Preveze Class Submarine Half-Life Modernization, which was initiated by SSB in 2019, the acceptance activities of the Inertial Navigation System, CTD Probes, Chilled Water System and Static Inverters, which have been supplied by STM and whose platform integration has been completed to date, on the first submarine, TCG PREVEZE, were completed in 2023 and Modernization activities within the scope of the project continue successfully. Preveza Class Submarine Half-Life Modernization Project; It covers the modernization of the TCG Preveza (S-353), TCG Sakarya (S-354), TCG 18 Mart (S-355) and TCG Anafartalar (S-356) submarines in the inventory of the Naval Forces Command. In the project in which STM acts as the pilot partner; The procurement activities of 9 systems and the platform integration responsibility of all systems supplied within the scope of the Project are carried out by STM.
