Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality; continues its small livestock support to producers in order to popularize small livestock farming in rural areas, increase the income level of farmers and improve quality. A total of 50 breeding sheep, 10 female and one male, were distributed to 550 producers at the distribution ceremony held in Savaştepe District with the participation of Metropolitan Mayor Yücel Yılmaz.
Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Erkan Alkan stated that the distributions are continuing within the scope of the project to increase the productivity of small ruminants.I would like to thank our Metropolitan Mayor Yücel Yılmaz and his entire team for their work. In order to reduce costs, 6 times more fodder plants were distributed compared to previous years, which is a record. In December, we held a meeting of provincial directors under the chairmanship of our Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı.
