Viticulture Culture Will Be Revitalized in Kayseri

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. said that they will restore the idle structure of the mansion to its original state and make it functional again. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said:

“Our restoration projects that will reveal Kayseri's ancient culture continue. As Melikgazi Municipality, we are carrying out restoration works in order to bring the historical buildings within the district borders back to the present day. As a municipality that values history, our work continues. We restore many buildings from historical mansions to inns, madrasahs, tombs and fountains. In our work, we bring our cultural heritage to light and transfer it to future generations, as well as re-functioning the buildings by giving them functions. In this context, we are restoring the Bakkaloğlu Mansion located in the Germir District of Melikgazi Municipality. Kayseri's vineyards are famous. The history of viticulture in Anatolia is as old as the settlement history of societies. It has been the subject of folk songs. Only traces of Bakkaloğlu Mansion remained. When the restoration is completed, we will open this place as the Vineyard Museum, a first in Turkey. We will pass on the culture of viticulture to future generations. Therefore, we will put such a beautiful project into service to reflect the vineyard culture of Kayseri. "After it is completed, we will furnish the interior of the mansion in accordance with the age of the mansion." said.

Stating that, as a municipality, they both preserve the culture and ensure the transfer of this culture to new generations, Mayor Palancıoğlu wished that the Bakkaloğlu Vineyard Museum, which will be the first in Kayseri, will be beneficial.
