Women from Selendi were hosted in Manisa

Thanks to the "Let's Women Come to Manisa" project initiated under the leadership of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün, citizens living throughout the province have been longing for the city for more than ten years. Women from Manisa living in 17 districts get to know the city more closely by focusing on the historical richness of the city, which contains works built in different periods. With the "Let's Women to Manisa" project, thousands of citizens have visited the city for years, got acquainted with the rich history of Manisa and had a pleasant time thanks to the organized tour. In this context, a group of 68 people from Selendi came to Manisa. Officials of the Department of Social Services and the guide welcomed the group at Şehzadelerpark. Afterwards, women from Selendi went to the Sultan Mosque complex and listened to the information given about the Medical History Museum and the Sultan Mosque. Subsequently, Muradiye Mosque, the only work of Mimar Sinan in the Aegean Region, was visited. By going to Mevlevihane, we learned about the place of the building in history and enjoyed the view resulting from its location. The women of Selendi, who listened to the mythological story of Niobe at the Crying Rock, took a break at the Ladies Family Tea Garden after being hosted at the MASKI General Directorate cafeteria for lunch. Finally, the group from Selendi visited the Çanakkale Martyrs' Monument, Atatürk Exhibition Hall, Atatürk Youth Center and Atatürk City Park, which were brought to the city by Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, and ended the tour here.

Women from Selendi, who listened to the story of Niobe that has been told for years at the Weeping Rock and met the Muradiye Mosque that defies history, thanked Manisa Metropolitan Municipality and Mayor Cengiz Ergün for their contributions to this program, which allowed them to get to know the ancient city closely.
