BUSES ARE BEING CLEANED

The Department of Transportation Bus Operations Branch Directorate serves citizens with 34 public transportation vehicles in its inventory. Every vehicle that goes to and from duty is washed daily and periodically for detailed cleaning. The water used in every washed bus is re-purified and used.

WATER IS PURIFIED WITH EVERY WASHING

Buses are washed with a fully automatic car washing machine. System; The vehicle is stationary and the machine is mobile and automatically washes the entire surface of the vehicle without manpower. The wastewater collected as a result of washing passes into the preliminary sedimentation pit, and the water passing through the preliminary sedimentation tank passes into the pre-treated water collection pit. After the first stage resting process, the water to be purified is pumped into the Flocculation tank of the Purification Unit with a submersible pump. The water coming out of the flocculation unit comes to the chemical sedimentation unit and the water taken from the sedimentation tank passes to the oil separation unit (DAF). The Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit performs the function of separating the oil in the wastewater. From here, the water passes through the multi-cartridge filter to the fully automatic multi-layer multimedia filtration unit. Pollutants that cause turbidity such as sediment, particles, sand and suspended solids remaining in the water are removed from the water, allowing reuse.
