Republican People's Party Edirne Mayor candidate Ergun Türkyılmaz published a written statement stating that he was preparing for the primary election to be held on Saturday and that he would win the primary election.
“We are assertive in the primary election planned to be held on February 4 in Edirne Center. I came first in the survey by far, and I claim that I will come first in the primary election as well. We announced my candidacy on September 21, 2023 (4 months and 10 days ago) and we have been working in the field for 4 months. In return, our people showed their appreciation by coming first in the surveys. The survey results have not been announced, but information has come that we came first by far. We have not received any clear documents. We think that the members will show the same interest in us in the primary election as the public has shown in us. We claim that we will come first in the primary election.
We told our people that we would raise awareness in this city and that we would manage this city with intelligent, hard-working, dreamy and qualified expert staff. I believe that we will create a city that the people living in Edirne will be proud of.
