Kayseri Chamber of Industry attended the IIFF2024 Istanbul International Furniture Fair (IIFF2024) held at the Istanbul Fair Center (IFM) and TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center.
Kayseri Chamber of Industry (KAYSO) Chairman of the Board of Directors Mehmet Büyüksimitci, Chairman of the Assembly Abidin Özkaya, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Abdullah Oğuzbaş and Ahmet Gümüşcü, as well as Board Members Mehmet Sarıalp, İrfan Püsküllü and Ahmet Ezinç, more than 180 people attending the Istanbul Furniture Fair. He visited the Kayseri company and wished them a good fair.
KAYSO President Mehmet Büyüksimitci stated that he was proud of the participation of more than 180 Kayseri companies in the Istanbul Furniture Fair and said that such intense participation is an indication of how strong Kayseri is in the furniture industry.
Stating that the furniture industry is one of the leading sectors of Kayseri in terms of employment, exports and number of companies, Mayor Büyüksimitci said, “As Kayseri, we are ranked 600st in Turkey in furniture manufacturing with over 28 companies and nearly 1 thousand employees. "Approximately 400 of these companies are companies that can manufacture mass production and work for export," he said.
Mayor Büyüksimitci stated that according to 2022 data, there are a total of 500 furniture companies in the ISO top 500 and second 11, and 8 of these companies are Kayseri companies, and said that this data proves that Kayseri is in a leading position in the furniture industry.
Underlining that they are trying to increase Kayseri's exports even higher, Büyüksimitci said, “We have to work. Türkiye has to produce. We are creating new production areas in our city in order to contribute more to the country's economy. Together with our governorship and municipalities, we are implementing our city's 4th OIZ, Erciyes OIZ. We are doing all kinds of work to further increase our exports, which are around 4 billion dollars. Hopefully we will be in a much better position in the coming years. I would like to thank all our companies that have made the furniture industry in our city so strong and who work day and night and contribute to production, employment and exports. "I wish success to all our companies, especially our members, participating in Europe's largest furniture fair," he said.
