KFA Fuarcılık, a subsidiary of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), continues to bring together sectors with brand fair organizations around the world. BTSO delegation of 40 people, including construction industry representatives, visited the World of Concrete (WOC) Fair held in Las Vegas, USA. Companies had the opportunity to examine new developments in the sector at the world's largest construction fair.
Representatives of the construction industry from Bursa examined the WOC Fair, which has a half-century history, with the organization of KFA Fuarcılık. Nearly 34 Turkish companies also took part in the fair, where more than 1.300 companies from 700 countries opened stands in an open and closed exhibition area of 20 thousand square meters. The organization, held between 22-25 January, is the first and largest fair specializing in concrete machinery and equipment. Sector representatives from Bursa also had the opportunity to examine the latest technology and equipment used in the construction sector at the most important meeting where the heart of the sector beats.
“The Fair Makes a Significant Contribution to the Sector”
BTSO Council Member and also İMSİAD President Şeref Demir said that they took part in an important fair program with the BTSO organization. Reminding that technology-oriented developments in the construction industry are increasing every year, Demir said, “Fairs are important organizations that support the vision and future goals of companies. WOC Fair is also one of the brand meetings of the sector. This fair gave us an important vision. We especially had the opportunity to personally examine the new developments in the sector. WOC is a large-scale fair attended by large companies in the construction industry. KFA Fuarcılık gained significant experience in terms of organization. “I would like to thank our Chamber for the activities that contribute to the expansion of our companies to the world.” said.
“There is a Great Change and Transformation in the Sector”
Industry representative İsmail Aktaş said that they have been producing and selling residential and commercial areas in Bursa for 27 years. Stating that he has visited many fairs for the sector before, but this is the first time he visited the WOC Fair, Aktaş said, “There is an incredible change and transformation in the construction industry. We saw this firsthand in the USA. I had job interviews with many companies. I believe that our contacts here will turn into business partnerships when we return to Turkey. The biggest issue in our industry is qualified employment. Especially in the field of construction, a system is emerging in the world where the human factor is low and the machine factor is intense. "There are important developments at this point in Turkey." he said.
“We Left A Productive Fair Behind”
BTSO 25th Professional Committee Chairman and sector representative Bekir Bayramoğlu stated that he came to the USA for the first time and said, “We had the chance to see firsthand the point reached in the construction industry at the fair. I participated in the fair program for the first time with KFA Fuarcılık. We are pleased with the organization. From now on, I will try to participate in different organizations together with KFA Fuarcılık.” said.
