Hasan Pezük examined the photographs taken by AA reporters and photojournalists at home and abroad throughout 2023 and voted for the photographs in the categories of "news", "environment-life", "sports", "Gaza: Evidence" and "Earthquake: Hope".
Hasan Pezük, who chose Murat Şengül's photograph titled "Welcome" in the "Earthquake: Hope" category, stated that the earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023, centered in Kahramanmaraş, deeply shook the whole country. He added that as TCDD, they quickly repaired the affected lines in the region and intensively dispatched aid.
Hasan Pezuk voted for Belal Khaled's photograph "Looking at the Mother" in the "Gaza: Evidence" category. “We and the whole world are watching the events in Gaza with great sadness. "Unfortunately, this war, which will reach the level of genocide in this century, hurts us all deeply." he said.
In the "environment-life" category, he preferred Ali Fatih Akçay's "Natural Colors" photograph, while among the photographs in the "news" category, he voted for Mahmut Serdar Alakuş's "Sky Acrobatics" frame. “A photo that warms our hearts.
