Mayor Çolakbayrakdar: “We have become a self-sufficient municipality”

Underlining that they made a great contribution to the country's economy by supporting domestic and national production with the projects put into service, Mayor Çolakbayrakdar said, “We have become a self-sufficient municipality with the investments we have made. We produce asphalt with our asphalt plant, which we launched in 2017 and has the highest capacity in the public sector in Kayseri on an area of ​​214 thousand square meters, producing world-class asphalt with its technological structure. We offer faster, more economical and higher quality production with our environmentally friendly asphalt production capacity of 240 tons per hour. We also launched the laboratory in 2020 to measure the quality of asphalt production at world standards. We produce the material required for asphalt with the Aggregate Production Facility that we put into service last year, and we saved 210 million 13 thousand TL with the 482 thousand tons of gravel material we produced in the quarry. Last year, we paved 141 thousand tons of asphalt and covered 120 kilometers with the asphalt plant with the highest capacity in Kayseri and the crusher plant, which is one of the few in Turkey. Thus, we saved 53 Million 426 Thousand 345 TL in one year. We brought a total of 135 new vehicles to the future of Kocasinan, 173 of which are construction machines that will meet the requirements of the conditions of the age, have different features, are environmentally friendly and are XNUMX% domestic production, and thus we have become able to do all our work ourselves. We attach special value and importance to urban transformation, which is one of our most important agenda items. We fulfill whatever needs the citizens need through urban transformation. We create social spaces by changing the face of the district. "We are the only municipality in Turkey that carries out large-scale urban transformation on a district municipality scale with its own means," he said.

'WE DECLARED MOBILIZATION'

Emphasizing that they have implemented projects that add value to the people of the city, Mayor Çolakbayrakdar stated that food has come to the fore strategically throughout the world, and therefore they have declared mobilization to produce the products that Turkey needs, and said, “We have seen the emergence of the trust and importance of food, especially during the pandemic period. The projects we carry out for our self-sufficient city are very important and valuable. Within the scope of our Digital Transformation Project in Agriculture, we provide great support to agricultural development with works such as vegetable seedlings, medicinal and aromatic plants in 2017, walnut and almond tree production in 2020, einkorn wheat and organic tomato seedling production in 2019, and gacer wheat and organic tomato seedlings in 2020. We attach great importance to the cultivation of heirloom seeds, especially for future generations and healthy societies. We provide serious support in every field in our district, which has the largest agricultural production in Kayseri, and we always stand by our farmer brothers. We are doing work that will be a model for Turkey, starting from the local perspective. We are also beautifying our Kayseri with greening activities at the district municipality scale with our most comprehensive nursery in Turkey. We make a great contribution to the economy of our city and our country by meeting the needs of the municipality in our Machinery Supply, Maintenance and Repair Center, which operates like a large industrial site. We provide training in many branches with Kocasinan Academy, which we launched in the last months of 2016. The works created by the trainees as a result of the training they received, both indicate the importance of using domestic goods and encourage the use of domestically produced products. In addition, thanks to these trainings, we contribute to the acquisition of a profession and socialization of our female sisters. Thus, they contribute to the family budget, our country and the Kayseri economy with what they have learned.
