Joy of Salary Increase in Manisa Metropolitan Municipality

The collective labor agreement between Manisa Metropolitan Municipality and Hizmet-İş Union was signed in the office of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün.

Speaking after the collective bargaining agreement signing ceremony, which concerns 4 thousand 615 personnel working in Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, MASKİ General Directorate and affiliated companies, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün said, “After our negotiations with the Hizmet-İş Union, we reached the final conclusion regarding the personal rights of our employees. We updated the wages of 4 thousand 615 service personnel in our Metropolitan Municipality, MASKİ General Directorate and our subsidiaries. As a result of our negotiations with our union, we determined the minimum wage received by our 745 personnel as 26 thousand 508 TL. Apart from this, we increased the average wage of our 80 thousand 3 employees, who constitute 805 percent of our staff, to 27 thousand 510 liras. "Apart from this, the upper limit of the remaining 65 personnel, whose salaries are above 27 thousand 510 liras and we classify them according to the business unit they work in, is above 65 thousand liras," he said.

Sharing the details of the increase, Mayor Ergün said, “With this improvement we made, 135 percent on an annual basis; When we take the last 6 months as a basis, we have made an increase of 69 percent. As it is known, civil servant salaries were increased by 49,25 percent by our state. Considering this, the increase rate we provide to our valuable employees is obvious. In other words, they will be paid 20 percent more. "These are all good things done for our employees, for our employees," he said.

Emphasizing that they have always approached issues such as employees' personal rights, receiving their salaries on time, and social rights since the first day they took office, President Ergün said, “With the same sensitivity, we have signed the contract that will bring a smile to the faces of our employees and their valuable families. On this occasion, I sincerely hope that the new salary increases will be beneficial and fruitful for our valuable employees and their precious families.
