Industrial Investments Will Accelerate with TRNC

Science Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, who visited the Deneyap Technology Workshops that continue their activities in Nicosia, said that they aim to realize all the national technology initiative programs they have implemented in TRNC and Turkey, step by step.

Minister Kacır made a series of contacts within the scope of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz's visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Kacır signed the "Agreement on the Facilitation of Industrial Investments" together with TRNC Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu. Stating that they plan to eliminate the differences that arise between investors from Turkey and TRNC, Kacır said, "We facilitate industrial investments in the TRNC by citizens of the Republic of Turkey and companies subject to Turkish laws in the OIZs to which we provide financial support." said.

Explaining that Turkey has made great strides in many fields in the last 21 years under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister Kacır stated that a giant R&D, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem has been built. Noting that today the technology development journey continues with more than 101 thousand startups in Turkey's 10 technoparks, Kacır said, "We operate with a large R&D army of 1600 thousand people, together with our more than 272 R&D and design centers." he said.

Noting that Turkey is now a global technology and production base with its industry, production capacity, R&D and innovation infrastructure, qualified workforce and strategic location connecting three continents, Kacır said, “While we were once importing even the most basic defense industry products, today We are the world's first in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle production. Togg, our 60-year-old dream, our naturally electric and smart national car, is on the roads.” he said.
