AK Party Announces Its Candidates

Preparations for the 31 March local elections in the AK Party continue at full speed. The names of the candidates, especially in Istanbul and Ankara, are eagerly awaited.

The Istanbul candidate will be announced by President Erdoğan tomorrow. It is planned to announce the mayoral candidates of 12 metropolitan cities and 16 provinces at the candidate promotion meeting.

AK Party Deputy Chairman Ali İhsan Yavuz said that President Erdoğan will announce the election declaration of all remaining metropolitan cities and provinces in a program to be held in the AK Party's new building in Ankara on January 15.

Yavuz also shared the details of the negotiations they completed with MHP.

Stating that they held 13 meetings, Yavuz said, “This is because we are trying to set the principles correctly. We will support MHP candidates in 5 provinces. MHP will not nominate a candidate in 24 provinces, it will support our candidate. “We will compete mutually in 22 provinces.” said.

AK Party continues its negotiations with other partners of the People's Alliance. Delegations of the Democratic Left Party and the Grand Unity Party were hosted separately at the AK Party Headquarters. The AK Party delegation also visited the Re-Welfare Party.
