The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that the Nusret-2023 Call Exercise, hosted by the Naval Forces Command, has been completed.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, the Nusret-2023 Call Exercise, hosted by the Naval Forces Command and carried out in Çanakkale and Saros Bay with the participation of Turkish Naval Forces and elements from friendly and allied countries, was completed. During the exercise, procedures for mine warfare were successfully carried out and contributed to increasing mutual cooperation.
In the exercise, minelayers, minehunting vessels, mine warfare divers and EOD/AUV teams of the Turkish Naval Forces, as well as NATO Standing Mine Countermeasures Task Group-2 (SNMCMG-2) elements, minehunting ships from Italy, Spain and Greece. and mine warfare divers took part.
During the exercise, various activities related to mine warfare were carried out, such as mine detection and destruction, mine search and scanning, mine hunting and destruction, mine warfare diver rescue and mine warfare diver health support.
The successful completion of the exercise showed that the Turkish Naval Forces' capabilities in mine warfare and the level of cooperation with friendly and allied countries have increased.
