Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is transforming the part of Konyaaltı Beach between Boğaçayı-Liman Junction into a modern living space, providing integrity with the Coastal Life Park. Work has started on the 'Konyaaltı Coastal Landscaping between Boğaçayı Bridge and Port Junction', which will be implemented with a contract value of 202 million 339 thousand TL.
Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Muhittin Böcekhas rolled up its sleeves to transform the section between the Boğaçayı Bridge and the Port on the Konyaaltı Coast into a new living space and a contemporary appearance. The Metropolitan Municipality is rearranging the approximately 1 kilometer coastal strip to ensure integrity with the Coastal Life Park. The "Konyaaltı Coast Landscaping between Boğaçayı Bridge and Harbor Junction" project, which was initiated with a contract value of 202 million 339 thousand TL, includes many innovations that will add value to the region.
AN ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY LIVING SPACE
The project covers a total area of 60 thousand square meters, including Boğaçayı in the east, Liman Junction in the west, Akdeniz Boulevard in the north and Akdeniz in the south. With this comprehensive project, the Metropolitan Municipality aims to transform Konyaaltı Beach into not only an aesthetic but also a functional and environmentally friendly living space.
AESTHETIC DESIGN
Konyaaltı Coast Boğaçayı Bridge-Port Junction Landscaping Project adopts an environmentally friendly and nature-friendly approach with 30 thousand m² of green area and approximately 8 thousand landscape plant elements. The project, which uses a language compatible with the "Konyaaltı Beach Regulation" in its design, will bring an aesthetic appearance to the region day and night with bright lighting elements. The project also includes many social living areas such as children's playgrounds, mini playgrounds, sports fields and sports equipment. The aim of the work is to provide an environment where families and sports fans can have a pleasant time.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING OPPORTUNITIES
With the change of traffic regime on Akdeniz Boulevard, the project will adopt a pedestrian-first traffic approach and will be integrated with Sahil Yaşam Park with a traffic pattern where vehicles and pedestrians are present together. The project includes transportation infrastructures such as vehicle roads, pedestrian roads, pavement arrangements and bicycle paths that continue for 1 kilometer. A total of 182 on-road parking pockets and a parking area for 208 vehicles in the west of the project will provide solutions to the problems experienced in parking and traffic issues. In addition, the boat owners' access to the sea will be facilitated with the boatyard area for amateur fishermen located in the west of the project.
IT WILL INCREASE THE VALUE OF KONYAALTI
"Konyaaltı Harbor Coast Landscaping Project" will increase the social life and value of the region with 5 kiosks along the coast determined in accordance with the Coastal Law, WC-shower arrangements to meet the needs of the users, bicycle paths, pedestrian paths and parking areas.
