Education Cooperation Between Türkiye and Greece

Within the scope of the 5th High Level Cooperation Council (YDIK) meeting held in Athens, the capital of Greece, under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin and Greek Minister of Education Kiryakos Pierrakakis signed an education cooperation agreement.

Turkish and Greek delegations; signed agreements, memoranda of understanding and joint declarations in the fields of education, energy, transportation, tourism and trade.

Within the scope of the 5th High Level Cooperation Council (HDIK) meeting, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin and Greek Minister of Education Kiryakos Pierrakakis signed an education cooperation agreement.

The signed agreement aims to increase cooperation between ministries for professional education.

This agreement aims to mutual recognition of diplomas in the field of technical education, exchange of knowledge and experience, organization of joint training programs for teachers and students, and student exchange.

In his evaluation of the agreement, Minister Tekin said, “We are in Athens to hold the 5th Meeting of the High Level Cooperation Council under the chairmanship of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In this context, we signed a cooperation agreement in the field of vocational education and training with the Greek Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Pierrakakis, by exchanging ideas at all levels of education between the two countries. We believe that education plays an important role in increasing our cooperation in our relations with Greece. Education; It will strengthen the friendship between the two countries by promoting cultural rapprochement, mutual understanding and respect.” he said.
