The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that the Aksungur UAV with tail number 884 joined the Naval Forces Command with the tail number TCB-884 at the ceremony held at Dalaman Naval Air Base Command.

In the statement made by the Ministry, the following statements were made: “The inventory acceptance procedures of the Aksungur UAV with tail number 884, which is the last UAV of the project and which was produced by the Turkish Aviation and Space Industry within the scope of the Operative UAV Project, were completed and TCB-884 was announced at the ceremony held at Dalaman Naval Air Base Command. He joined our Naval Forces Command with his tail number.

The training and testing of the Aksungur UAV, which joined our Naval Forces Command, continues for maritime patrol, intelligence and attack missions.

With the addition of Aksungur UAV to our Naval Forces Command, the operational capabilities of our Naval Forces will increase significantly.

Naval Forces Command Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Ercüment Tatlı, TAI General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil, Naval Forces Command and TAI personnel attended.”

Aksungur UAV has a wingspan of 24 meters, a length of 11,6 meters and a maximum takeoff weight of 3.300 kilograms. The UAV can stay in the air for 50 hours and carry a payload of 750 kilograms. Aksungur UAV can be used for maritime patrol, intelligence and attack missions.
