For the first time in the world, a swarm concept attack was carried out with the IDA-UAV joint operation!

A test firing was carried out in Mersin for the Kamikaze İDA Albatros, which was developed by ASELSAN with local and national resources and allows the explosive contained in it to detonate by hitting enemy targets by moving at high speed on water.

As part of the test, Albatros, which can move in a swarm of 8, carried out an attack on the target ship. One of the Albatros Kamikaze İDA swarm, which had ammunition belonging to ROKETSAN, hit the target ship and exploded. As a result of the successfully completed test firing, the 22-meter target ship was submerged within minutes.

Bayraktar TB2 UAV affiliated with our Naval Forces Command also took part in the firing test. Within the scope of the applied scenario, unmanned marine vehicles were directed to the target detected by Bayraktar TB2. Thus, for the first time in the world, the IDA swarm kamikaze attack concept was demonstrated with the IDA-UAV joint operation.

The test off the coast of Mersin; It was followed moment by moment at the Naval Forces Command Headquarters by Naval Forces Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, Presidential Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün, ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol and other officials.

In order not to harm the environment, the target ship was washed and cleaned of any contaminants such as fuel and oil before the test.
