China-Europe Freight Train Expeditions Broke a Record at the Eastern Passage

The number of passages of freight train services between China and Europe through the eastern gateway (i.e., Manzhouli, Suifenhe and Tongjiang railway crossings) and the volume of goods transported increased by 9 percent and 21,9 percent, respectively, in the first ten months of the year compared to the same period last year, reaching 4. and reached 583 thousand TEU.

China-Europe freight train services have passed through the eastern passage and reached 13 countries, especially Russia, Poland, Germany and Belgium. More than 60 cities in China are connected by 24 lines.

The goods transported consist of 12 categories, including electrical goods, daily goods, industrial machinery, metals, agricultural and by-products and wood.
