The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) General Manager Hasan Pezük and the Anatolian Rail Systems Cluster (ARUS) officials came together for the future of railways. At the meeting held in the General Directorate Meeting Hall under the coordination of TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük; It was emphasized that in line with the 2053 Transport and Logistics Master Plan, the cooperation will continue to strengthen.

TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük hosted ARUS officials who make domestic and national production for rail transportation systems. In the meeting where the future of the railways was discussed, General Manager Hasan Pezük said; He underlined that they aim to provide a safe, comfortable, environmentally friendly and barrier-free railway transportation based on customer satisfaction. Hasan Pezük announced that TCDD will continue to increase its share in freight and passenger transportation by constructing high standard, double-track, electrical and signaled lines and logistics centers. TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük stated that they are planning to expand the urban rail system network and to work for the development of the national railway industry, and to establish facilities to meet the energy we need from renewable energy sources.

TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük said that by the 2000s, railways were handled with a new understanding and significant budgets were allocated for investments, “As of today, the share allocated for railway transportation has reached 63 percent of all transportation investments. 13 percent of our 919 thousand 58 kilometers railway network is signaled and 51 percent electric. Our construction works continue on a route of approximately 3 thousand 700 kilometers. According to the Transport and Logistics Master Plan, we aim to reach 2053 thousand kilometers of railway network in 28. According to our Master Plan, we also have important targets such as increasing freight transportation to the level of 20 percent. Undoubtedly, in order to achieve these goals, we will need infrastructure and superstructure vehicles and equipment, as well as new vehicles that will run on these lines. It is important that all our needs are met in a sustainable way from domestic and national resources. In line with this purpose, we have enabled the domestic and national production of a significant part of the high-speed train rails, switchgear and electromechanical systems, which were not produced in our country before, through the collaborations we made and the subsidiaries we established. Within the scope of these works, we have increased the locality rate of infrastructure, superstructure and electromechanical systems from 55% to 95% today.” said.

Stating that as TCDD, they work in fields such as operation, maintenance and repair with new technologies, domestic and national opportunities, General Manager Hasan Pezük said, “For this, the inspection, control and maintenance methods of the railway infrastructure, including electrification, signaling and telecommunication facilities, and road infrastructure and superstructure, and safety are required. In addition, we have developed our cooperation with the Institute of Rail Transportation Technologies (RUTE), established within TÜBİTAK, where we carry out important projects such as the national signaling system and the hardened cork rail, and work to produce the vehicles we use in maintenance activities such as the Automatic Train Inspection Station (OTMI), Measuring Train, with domestic and national means. we are conducting. It includes working for the development of the railway industry and establishing facilities to meet the energy we need from renewable energy sources.
