326 MILLION LIRA OF LOCAL PRODUCTS PURCHASED
Ankara Public Bread Factory has supplied 29 kinds of local products from 13 producer cooperatives and unions, 63 of which are in Ankara and 39 of which are women, for Başkent Markets, and 1300 farmers registered to the ÇKS, while approximately 326 local products from the cooperatives in and outside Ankara have been supplied to date. million TL worth of local products were purchased.
Thanks to Başkent Markets, the number of people employed by 1572 producer cooperatives and unions in Ankara with 29 members has reached approximately 320.

“As Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, we attach great importance and priority to rural development. In this context, we have implemented the Başkent Market project since April 2020. We have opened 7 Başkent Market branches to date. Here, we collect the products we offer to our people from almost all cooperatives, especially from Ankara's women's cooperatives. We provide services in 63 cooperatives across Türkiye. We also buy the products of our 39 farmers who are included in the Farmer Registration System and place them on our shelves. To date, we have offered more than 1300 products for sale in Başkent Market stores. These are hygienic, high quality and healthy products. In this context, we have transferred the income of 326 million liras from the products we offer to our farmers, and we have stood by them and provided them with resources. We have started the design and construction phase of 5 new Başkent Markets in order to provide service.”
