Turkey's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, in a statement on his social media account, celebrated the 7th anniversary of the Osmangazi Bridge and stated that it ranks 7th among the largest middle span suspension bridges open to operation in the world. Over the seven years since the commissioning of this impressive project, the bridge has allowed travelers to reach their loved ones in safety and security. According to Minister Uraloğlu's statements, the number of magnificent projects supporting the development of Turkey will continue to increase.

Osmangazi Bridge is located on the Gulf of Izmit in the Marmara Region of Turkey. The bridge, which was put into service on July 1, 2016, contributes to the economic growth and trade of the region by forming an important point of national and international transportation. This engineering marvel is among the largest mid-span suspension bridges in the world with a mid-span of 2.682 meters and has a unique structural success.

The construction of Osmangazi Bridge is considered not only as a transportation project, but also as an indicator of Turkey's infrastructure and technology capacity. Travel time between big cities such as Istanbul and Bursa has decreased from approximately 3,5 hours to 1,5 hours on average with the commissioning of the bridge.
