China and India Decide to Solve the Border Issue

The two sides appreciated the results of the previous diplomatic and military contacts, exchanged views on their current common interests and future work, and reached consensus on some issues:

In line with the recent consensus of the two foreign ministers, resolution of related problems, including the western part of the border area, will be accelerated.

Further efforts will be made to maintain peace and tranquility in the border region by maintaining diplomatic and military contact.

The 19th round of corps commanders level talks between China and India and the 28th meeting of the WMCC will be held as soon as possible.
