China Increases Satellite Ground Communication Speed to 10 Gbits Per Second

In China, it has been announced that the satellite-ground laser high-speed communication experiments have been successfully completed. The Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has successfully completed high-speed satellite-to-ground laser communication experiments with the Jilin-500 MF1A02 satellite, through a 04 mm aperture laser communication ground system it has developed.

It has been announced that the communication speed has reached 10 Gbits per second, and the quality of the data obtained from the satellite payload is high and meets the requirements of advanced applications. This achievement shows that China has successfully implemented the engineering implementation of satellite-to-ground laser high-speed communication, and the speed of satellite-to-ground communication has entered the age of 10 Gbits per second.
