Sakarya will host the 1st and 2nd stages of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, the world's most exciting cycling race, on 3-4 June. The press conference of the UCI BMX Racing World Cup Series 1-2 Round (World Cup Series 1st and 2nd Round), the world's most exciting bicycle race to be hosted by Sakarya, was held in Sunflower Cycling Valley.

Favorite pedals shared their pre-race insights. Last champion Marquart said, “I have really good memories in Sakarya. I'm looking forward to the race," he said. Bethany Schriever, the women's Olympic champion, said, “I loved the colors of the track. "The blue corners are really exciting and we look forward to competing," he said.

The press conference of the UCI BMX Racing World Cup Series 1-2 Round (World Cup Series 1st and 2nd Round), the world's most exciting bicycle race to be hosted by Sakarya, was held in Sunflower Cycling Valley. The first two stages of the 10-round World Cup series will take place in Sakarya on 3-4 June. The World Cup series will be run on 3-13 October in 14 more countries, the Netherlands, France and Argentina. Rounds 9 and 10 will end in Argentina.

The best of the world will pedal in the races, which will be held in 25 different categories: men under the age of 250, elite men and elite women, in which 23 athletes from 3 teams will participate. Favorite athletes shared their views at the press conference held in Bicycle Valley.

Colombian veteran cyclist Carlos Ramirez, who has two Olympic Bronze Medals, said: “I've raced here before. I saw that the course has changed a little compared to my previous race. It's all kinds of good to be here. The first series of the World Cup will start here. I think it will be a very different race. There are many ambitious athletes. Everyone is very well prepared. I am very happy to be here. I hope it will be a good race," he said.

Swiss Simon Marquart, the champion of the last World Cup series and one of the favorite names of the organization, said, “We think we are ready. I have really good memories in Sakarya. I'm looking forward to the race," he said. French Sylvain Andre, who won the world cup series in 2021, said that they would give their best in the World Cup struggles.

Olympic champion in women's Brit Bethany Schriever said: “This is a really good track, it was the first track we fell on the technical turn. Especially in the last part of the track, there is a very technical place and a big sprint is waiting for us. I loved the colors of the track. The blue corners are really exciting and we look forward to racing,” she said.

Dutch Laura Smulders, who has 27 championships in the World Cup series and is shown as the favorite of the organization, said, “Last season was a really important season. We are well prepared here. I feel very ready. I am looking forward to this World Cup series that started in Sakarya. It will be a nice race,” she said. American Champion Felicia Stancil stated that she is well prepared for the new season and is happy to be in Turkey.
